Michael Feichtenbeiner, FA Selangor's Technical Director since January 2020 has been announced as the interim head coach for the Red Giants for the remaining fixtures this season.
 
"I’m responsible as the Technical Director of this club, however, when the management asked me to help Selangor first team, I know I have to take the responsibility for that vacancy at the moment," said Michael.
 
For the record, Michael has put aside his current post as the Red Giants' Technical Director and Selangor 2 head coach to focus on the main squad.
 
"I will take over the Selangor main squad as the head coach for the rest of the M League this season and I will return to be the Technical Director next season," he added.
 
In line with his task of shaping the football philosophy of Selangor, he sees this chance as a golden opportunity for him to inject the DNA into the main team and believe this is an advantage for the players to show their worthiness.
 
"As the interim head coach, I will make some initial changes by implementing the DNA in the Selangor main squad, and will start making initial preparations to shape the squad for the next season," said Michael.
 
"I need time to evaluate the players to make the best decision for the club. I have also shared with the players some good news that Selangor has not signed a new player yet and this is a fair opportunity for them to fight for a new contract and show that they are eligible to remain in the team next season," Michael added.
 
Applying a unique football style in the Selangor team will definitely take time. Therefore, Michael hopes that supporters can be patient and trust the ongoing process.
 
He also hopes that the Red Giants fans can continue to support the management, coaches, and players.
 
"Supporters need to be patient and believe in this new process. In addition, the supporters also need to trust the players who will fight alongside me this season. They want to show the best performance for Selangor and make the fans happy," said Micheal before the ending of the interview.
